Employment Rights Bill – consultations
The Government has launched four consultations on some of its key proposals on workplace rights and protections under the Employment Rights Bill.
- Consultation on legislative framework for industrial relations (closes 2 December 2024) – Consultation on creating a modern framework for industrial relations.
- Consultation on preventing abuse of rules on collective redundancy consultation and fire and rehire (closes 2 December 2024) – Consultation on strengthening remedies against abuse of rules on collective redundancy and fire and rehire.
- Consultation on statutory sick pay (closes 4 December 2024) – Making Work Pay: Strengthening Statutory Sick Pay.
- Consultation on the application of zero hours contracts measures to agency workers (closes 2 December 2024) – Consultation on the application of zero-hours contracts measures to agency workers.
The four consultations provide an opportunity for employers, HR professionals and industry stakeholders to put forward their views on the proposals. Responses to the consultations may result in amendments being made to the Bill.
